Homemade Red Enchilada Sauce
I have never enjoyed red enchilada sauce from a can but love when it's homemade. When life gets crazy though who has time to make homemade sauce. Well, I finally have a sauce that is quick, easy and delicious! Bonus, you can freeze it! First you heat up the butter and oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Once butter is melted, add in the taco seasoning and stir in. Next stir in the flour and cook for about a minute stirring frequently. Then add in broth, tomato sauce, and salt. Simmer the sauce for 5-10 minutes or until it's thickened. Stores in refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze it for up to 3 months. Use this on enchiladas or our favorite are enchilada stacks.
